The MLB, or Elite Swing...The Big League Stroke Is Now Sweeping Softball

Cardinal Star Albert Pujols Goes Deep

The stroke of the past - where hitters stood tall, squashed the bug, threw their hands to the ball and swung down - is as outdated as platform shoes, typewriters and adding machines.  More than 95 percent of the hitters in the big leagues, the most elite male hitters in the world, do not swing that way.  Nor do a growing number of elite female fast pitch hitters. Why? Because the MLB stroke is much quicker, more powerful and more efficient. Rather than emphasizing the use of the hands and arms, the MLB swing utilizes the entire body, especially the torso, to increase swing quickness. bat speed, barrel momentum path and power.
Most big leaguers realize that to stay inside the ball and get their swing plane on the pitch plane, their back elbow must be down and in—allowing their front elbow to work up and away. To stay inside the ball, the arms should be flexed (not rigid!) in the swing approach and the hands MUST be able to work IN FRONT of the hitter’s body, where they ultimately extend into the "Power V."

How can we be sure?  Because high-speed videography and computer technology don't lie - they prove that the MLB swing is superior in every way, for both men and women.  Why would baseball and softball be any different?

Student Success -Why Cal Aces Stays on top of Softball Training

It isn't just the baseball stars - Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Albert Pujols, Ryan Howard, Joe Maurer, Derek Jeter - virtually every successful big leaguer.  It is the sluggers in the women's game, as well - Jessica Mendoza, Kristen Rivera, Lisa Fernandez, Katie Cochran and countless others. They are all putting up huge numbers - lofty batting averages, home run totals, and slugging percentages - all as practitioners of the MLB swing.

Cal Aces Head Coach Willie Madrid has been teaching rotational hitting mechanics, trained and certified by legendary Mike Epstein who has the only written "letter of Certification" that Ted Williams ever gave out for hitting knowledge and instruction.  Learn more about it, and hit your potential. The MLB swing can make you a better hitter.
